4/16/2024 0 Comments Half life 1 textures brokebn![]() In game, if your videocard doesn't support detailed textures, you don't enable them. We then scale the Half-Life texture up to match the size of the high-res texture, and basically reverse the method that Half-Life uses to apply detailed textures, to calculate the detailed texture, that if applied, will turn the low-res texture, into the high-res texture. In the first, we take a low-res Half-Life texture (The NS textures for example), and the high-res version of that same texture. Just pick up from where we left off in the old thread. We'll continue our discussion/work on this technique here. *The software renderer may crash if "r_mmx" is not set to 1, and vice versa for OpenGL.By calculating detailed textures I'm trying to fork off from the general Detailed Texture thread, because it's become long, and I can't update anything remotely close to the first topic. To prevent shadows from disappearing when you restart the game, create a file “autoexec.cfg” in the root folder of the game and write the value “r_shadows 1” into it *To enable dynamic shadows in the game, enter the parameter "r_shadows 1" into the console. *If you want to test the Overbright function, then enter the parameter "gl_use_shaders 0" into the console and then change it to "gl_use_shaders 1" This will make the game look more like steam-vanilla. *If you want to disable the new shader features, you can use "gl_use_shaders" and set it to "0". *If you have "cl_lw 1" enabled it will make your pistol eject 2 shells sometimes when shooting instead of 1, setting it to "cl_lw 0" fixes this. *Error "sample.wad" - find in the game folder and create a copy of the file "halflife.wad" and rename the file to "sample.wad" *Use fps_override 1 and fps_max 144 to unlock your FPS *If you use Windows HDR, and after leaving the game your desktop becomes too dark, then you need to turn off and turn on your monitor without restarting your PC. *If you have audio delay, try setting the installation parameter "snd_mixahead 0" (without quotes) in the console. *Also, if you have a black screen after the initial splash screen, try the "-novid" command in the launch options. *If you switched the game to software rendering mode and you get a black screen, try using "-gl" (without quotes) in the launch options Then select the display mode that your PC supports. *Black window when launching the game - launch the game with the Steam launch parameter "-window" (without quotes). Open the “Steam Library” and download and install the game again. Then we also follow the path: “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Valve\Steam\Apps” and completely delete the “70” section.Ħ. Open the Windows Registry Editor, go to the path: “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Valve” and completely delete the “Half-Life” section. Go to the path “Steam/steamapps/sourcemods” and completely delete all folders associated with the modification of the game “Half-Life”.ĥ. Go to the path "Steam/steamapps/common" and completely delete the "Half-Life" folder.Ĥ. ![]() Then uninstall the game "Half-Life" from "Steam".ģ. Disable synchronization with "Steam Cloud".Ģ. Select "Properties" and go to the "General" section. Go to the game "Half-Life" in your "Steam Library". If the first point did not help, then proceed further.ġ. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the game. The post will be updated and supplemented with new offers. This comment will be a response to the discussion, it will display recommendations for eliminating errors in the game that are offered by members of our community. We will report in this thread about all the errors and problems that you encountered after receiving the update "25th Anniversary Update" =) ![]()
